Nestled along the remote coastline of Sonoma County, there aren't many places greater for a winter retreat (or anytime of year for that matter) than Sea Ranch Lodge. My foggy, quiet days here were spent cozied up by the fireplace with either a glass of locally made wine or fresh cup of pour-over coffee. The constant drizzle of rain would typically ruin a weekend getaway for me, but here it gave me permission to soak in the gorgeously renovated designs of the lodge.
Since it's redesign in 2022, Sea Ranch Lodge has earned recognition from the most prestigious travel and hospitality outlets including Conde Nast Traveller, Travel + Leisure, and Vogue, and was recently listed on the MICHELIN Top Hotels in the US 2024. The restaurant, lounge, bar, cafe, general store, and cultural programs like jazz concerts and art shows make this place a must-stop for Highway 1 drivers, or a must-go for San Franciscans looking for a city-escape.
